Review - Ambers Donkey

Today I want to recommend a book, by Julian and Tracy Austwick.

It is an inspirational and moving story of parental dedication, triumphs of medical science and - yes - the healing powers of a donkey.

Donkey Rescue, Ireland, rescue a donkey with terrible injuries and psychological problems.

Tracy gives premature birth at 24 weeks to twin girls, one of whom is desiccated because her amniotic sack broke early. Both have to be resuscitated, Amber is black and blue after the birth and has extra problems.

We follow Shocky, the donkey, and the Austwick family through the emotional rollercoaster of advances and setbacks until eventually their stories merge and wonderful things happen.
